So I haven't been too concerned about Hurricane Harvey, maybe that's naive of me, but people in Houston are going crazy. I've never experienced anything of the sort since I grew up in the Hill Country, but I went to Costco yesterday to get supplies for my office and it was terrible! The parking lot was so chaotic, it took me 15 minutes to even turn in. I whole point of me going to Costco was because I needed to get water and once I got to the aisle every single brand of water was sold out! Apparently people started disaster prepping earlier in the week but I didn't get the memo😅 We have yet to get much rain here in the galleria area, so I'm still hesitant to believe it's going end up raining 2 feet over the next few days🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Enough Hurricane Harvey talk! I call this my Spongebob top because that's exactly what it reminds me of. It's textured, so it has these raised circles that look like a sponge😂 Even though it does remind me of Spongebob it's still a cute top! Yellow has been the color this Summer and I think you can transition this top into Fall since it's not overly bright. You can pair with some booties or even a pair of jeans and some flats or loafers to make it Fall-esque🌻🍂

Killen's STQ

Earlier this month Aria and I went to Killen's STQ for his 25th birthday dinner and I would recommend going!! Aria had a soccer game and I had to do my BBG circuit so we tried to keep it semi-light by not getting a main course and opted for getting all sides/starters. We had: smoked gouda mac and cheese (very tasty, yet very rich) roasted corn ravioli (my favorite of the night. I'm not a huge fan of corn, but this was like a corn purée. I could have ate that as my meal because I loved it so much) beef short rib tamale (Aria's favorite for the food, I thought it was alright) shrimp and grits (I'm super picky when it comes to shrimp and grits. These were good, but too much of a smokey flavor for me) lastly is the smoked pork belly (very very good, we both enjoyed it and I highly recommend you get this for a starter). The only two desserts Aria will actually get at a restaurant is pecan pie and bread pudding. The bread pudding here was absolutely amazing! It was called the bacon tres leches bread pudding and it's definitely one of the better bread puddings we've had, maybe even the best! Overall we enjoyed Killen's STQ and would go back again, but first we gotta make it out to their BBQ and steakhouse restaurants!

Well I guess we'll see how the weather persists over the weekend. Hopefully the predictions aren't actually accurate, but if so, please stay safe and be careful!!
