London Travel Diary Part 2

Hello! Happy Wanderlust Wednesday! Since I completed my Savannah guide so quickly, I realized I needed to get my Europe ones done! Better late than never, right?!

Manchester & Liverpool

London was broken up in two parts because we spent a day in Manchester to go to the Manchester United game. Aria went and explored all The Beatles stuff while I sat at a cafe waiting to leave for Manchester. He had fun, but I was stressed thinking we’d miss our train to Manchester, which we did, but luckily caught the next one. We arrived to the stadium on time prior to the games starting and I couldn’t believe it when we got to our seats. We were literally in the front row! It started raining a bit, but thankfully we were wearing rain jackets. I’m not really a sports fan in general, but Aria really enjoyed the game.

We stayed at the Renaissance Manchester for the night and it was nice. It’s in a great location and I liked the wall paper in the rooms and the lobby.

MyLahore

MyLahore is considered a British Asian Kitchen and a must go in Manchester! Granted this was the only place we ate at while we were here, but I really enjoyed it! The food is so so good and so is the mango lassi!

Now back to London!

The Savoy

The Savoy is a Fairmont property and it was incredible. We love staying in Fairmont’s after we stayed in The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise a few years back. The lobby area is absolutely stunning with fresh flowers, black and white tiled floors and they also have a sweets shop! I loved our hotel room as well, it was very spacious and the bathroom had heated floors and a claw foot bathtub! We also had an amazing view of the London Eye. All the staff was very accommodating to us; we got in early and they put us in a different room so we could shower and get ready for the day while our room was being prepared. The Savoy is located in the theater district which is also a really great area!

Omg definitely my favorite place!!! Everything is pink and sooo adorable! Even the bathrooms are so cool - they’re individual egg pod stalls! If you don’t listen to anything else, you HAVE to go here!! Of course I wore all pink to be matchy-matchy and Aria even wore pink pants too!!

Duck & Waffle

Duck and Waffle was our last meal in London and the view was nice! It’s up on the 40th floor so you overlook the city!

Sightseeing & Activities

Bath, Windsor Castle & Stonehenge

Now this is definitely an all day affair but the British Countryside is so beautiful! My favorite out of the three was Bath, but Aria liked Stonehenge!

Chinatown

We only walked through Chinatown and didn’t stop in anywhere but it was very crowded! I love going to all the different Chinatowns in different cities.

The W was too pretty, I couldn’t not take a photo in front of it! Everywhere has fresh flowers in Europe and it is just so lovely! Why can’t we have that here?!

The British Museum

I also really loved that all the museums are free in London, especially since they tend to be so expensive in other cities!

Trafalgar Square

Lastly - Aria usually does this when we’re on trips and I always think they’re hilarious! Hope y’all get a kick out of them too!
