My Microblading Experience with Gene Phillips

Hey guys! It’s been six weeks since I had microblading done and I am so excited to share my experience with you! Gene Phillips did my eyebrows and I cannot be happier with how they turned out! For those of you who don’t know what microblading is - it’s basically a tattoo for your eyebrow to give them your ideal shape and fullness. Microblading saves so much time so you no longer have to fill in your eyebrows!

So I’ll go into a little more depth about the process - first I basically did a consultation with Gene so she can get a better understanding of what I want my brows to look like. Next she makes an outline so she knows her boundaries. This part is very important! Gene even uses an app to ensure that the brows are even.

During the process with numbing cream!

As you can see my mascara ran on my right eye bc I was tearing up!😅 Midway through- right brow has been “tattooed” and has the dye on top. Left brow has numbing cream on it.

I’m not going to lie guys it did hurt, hence why my eye teared up! But the microblading experience is different for everyone, some people respond well to the numbing cream that they feel little to no pain.

The process took about two and a half hours, but Gene has such a great personality that I felt comfortable the entire time!

Are you able to tell the difference with Gene’s strokes and my actual eyebrows? It’s pretty tough!

It’s recommended that you go in for the initial microblading, then schedule a touch up 4-6 weeks later after your brows have healed since there may be some patches that need to be filled in. Everybody heals differently, depending on your skin type and the steps that you do during the healing process. Sometimes it’s really crisp, other times it’s soft, all depends on the individual. I couldn’t be happier with my process!

Now meet Gene! She is the absolute sweetest and I’m so happy to have met her! The most important thing about microblading is finding an artist you can trust with your life!! Haha but really, your eyebrows make up such a significant part of your face that I can’t stress how important it is that you find a genuine, talented person, like Gene. She is very gentle and meticulous, so if you’re in the Houston area I highly recommend her for your microblading experience!

Time for the exciting announcement!! I’ve teamed up with Gene to offer one lucky winner microblading!! See details to enter my giveaway HERE
